This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. The provider is GitHub Inc., 88 Colin P Kelly Jr St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the website, GitHub automatically collects information in server log files that your browser transmits, in particular your IP address, the date and time of access, the page requested and the browser used. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is presenting the website reliably. Data is transferred to the USA on the basis of the European Commission's adequacy decision under Art. 45 GDPR (EU-US Data Privacy Framework), under which GitHub Inc. is certified.

3. No cookies, no tracking, no third-party content

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking services. Fonts, images and scripts are loaded only from this site; simply reading it sends no data to third parties.

If you switch to the light theme, that choice is stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage). It never leaves your device and is strictly necessary for the feature you asked for (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can remove it at any time with the theme switch or in your browser settings.

4. Links to external services

Some buttons lead to third-party services. Data is only transmitted once you click such a link; the provider's privacy policy then applies:

  • GitHub (“Suggest edit”, “View source”, “Star on GitHub”, links to commits and repositories): GitHub Inc., privacy statement.
  • Claude (“Ask Claude”): opens claude.ai by Anthropic PBC with a prepared question about the post,privacy policy.
  • sinn.consulting (“Legal notice”): our company website, which has its ownprivacy policy.
  • LinkedIn, the Visual Studio Marketplace and other linked websites.

5. Edit suggestions via GitHub

If you submit a pull request via “Suggest edit”, you do so from your GitHub account and under GitHub's terms. Your GitHub name and your contribution are public there. If the suggestion is merged, your name, the date and the commit message appear in the repository's public version history and on the post's “History” page. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (a traceable version history). On request we will remove your name from this website; the version history on GitHub cannot always be changed afterwards.

6. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we store the details you provide to handle your request and any follow-up questions. We do not share them without your consent. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest). The data is deleted once your request has been fully handled, at the latest after three years, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. For Bavaria (private sector) this is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 27, 91522 Ansbach,www.lda.bayern.de.
